A Taste Of Limerick Delivered To Your Door

There are artisan food and drink producers aplenty to be found right across County Limerick.  Here are some of our favourites, all of which offer delivery to your door via their online shops:

Pandora Bell

Its not often you can say that a local food product has featured in British Vogue!  Such is the beauty and deliciousness of Limerick sweet maker Nicola Dunphy’s Real Eggshells filled with luscious praline, they made the pages of that iconic magazine.  As if that wasn’t praise enough, Dolce&Gabanna liked Pandora Bell’s candy canes so much, they decorated their stores with them!  We have a real soft spot for their pâtes des fruits which are made with 70% pure fruit.  www.pandorabell.com

Treaty City Brewery

Limerick’s history of brewing goes right back to the time of the Vikings.  Stephen Cunneen’s Treaty City Brewery is located in Limerick’s Medieval Quarter.  It is an artisanal craft micro-brewery producing a range of ales for the local and national market.  As well as their core range, they also brew experimental and seasonal beers like their Culture Quarter Blonde Ale which is a marriage of blonde ale and classic Cahill’s Irish Breakfast Tea.  www.treatycitybrewery.ie

Craft Food Traders

Craft Food Traders is an online emporium stocking artisan food and drink produced here in Ireland.  Located in Hospital Village, Co. Limerick it provides an important service for small food producers who often find it difficult to get their products to market and for consumers who would like to support often hard-to-find artisan food and drink producers.  They stock a host of products and gift baskets for delivery right to your door.  www.craftfoodtraders.ie

Attyflin Estate

Close to Fitzgeralds Woodlands House Hotel & Spa is the 250-acre Attyflin Estate which has a centuries-long history of food production.  Their orchards and walled garden provide the ingredients for their fabulous range of fruit drinks, vinegars, preserves and chutneys.  Their apple and blackcurrant juice is a firm favourite.

Braw

Braw is a small-batch chocolatier and bakery, founded by Limerick local, Anna Coffey Lynch.  Anna is a former pastry chef at Adare Manor and head chocolatier at Cocoa Atelier.  She has put together an incredible range of hand-made chocolate bars (we love the Whiskey & Almond Nib), brownies and other sweet treats all of which are available for delivery to your front door.  The ultimate care package!  www.braw.ie

Wilde Irish Chocolates

While based in Co. Clare, Wilde Irish Chocolates have a shop in Limerick city centre and deliver nationwide through their online shop.  They handmake more than 80 different types of delicious chocolate in their small factory.  They sell bars, buttons, boxes and bakes.  The only difficulty is deciding which to choose.

Adare Manor

Our next-door-neighbours are now delivering a taste of Adare Manor to your home, thanks to their online boutique which stocks their preserves, Adare Manor Signature Tea and the very special Adare Manor – Midleton Very Rare Whiskey.  Their lemon curd is delicious on freshly baked scones or drizzled over Greek yoghurt. www.adaremanor.com

The Old Barracks Coffee Roastery

While located just outside County Limerick in Birdhill, Co. Tipperary, we just had to include this amazing coffee roastery.  If you take your coffee seriously, you need to sample their speciality roasts.  It is also a great pit-stop for guests visiting the beautiful lakeside towns of Killaloe and Ballina.  www.theoldbarracks.ie
